Mission

The Civil Defense Unit is committed to implementing prevention and safety procedures and managing emergency situations in accordance with approved laws and instructions, spreading a culture of preventive awareness, and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure a safe university environment.

Objectives

• Protecting students, staff, and property from risks and accidents.

• Applying safety and fire and emergency prevention instructions.

• Raising the level of awareness and education in the field of civil defense.

• Ensuring readiness and rapid response to emergencies.

• Reducing human and material losses in the event of accidents.

• Continuous coordination with the Civil Defense Directorate and relevant authorities.

• Complying with national laws and regulations related to safety and civil defense.

• Following preventive and professional procedures to prevent fires and accidents.

• The necessity of having fire extinguishers in public and private areas.

• Ensuring the safety of electrical and gas installations.

• Proper use of elevators, not tampering with them, and maintaining them periodically.

• Providing emergency passageways when necessary.

• Updating fire suppression systems.

• Conducting an awareness campaign for students, staff, and all employees.

• Cooperating with civil defense personnel when necessary.

• Maintaining calm and making way for civil defense personnel, fire trucks, and ambulances to perform their work quickly and properly and rescue the injured.
